I need help with a girl name. Im a very traditional person and like everyday names. my name is Megan and my husbands name is David. i would like something plain but cute as these...call me boring!
Thanks for the help
What are the most popular traditional names for girls? ?
Ava
Elizabeth
Hannah
Emily
Olivia
Sophia
Emma
Isabella
Abgail
They're all in the top ten most popular names. But I really wouldn't reccommend any of them- but that's because I can't stand common, "Wal-Mart" names.

Reply:I agree with you. I find that sometimes, the traditional names are the most solid, even if they're a little predictable.
A few timeless and classic names I've found are:
Katherine
Charlotte
Elizabeth
Cecelia
Emily (if you don't mind popular names; Emily has been #1 since 1996)
Lillian
Sarah
Claire
Nora
Caroline
Maria
Hannah
A few combinations I particularly like are:
Nora Caroline- You can't really go wrong with this. They're two very soft, gentle, safe sames that flow together nicely. I love the repeated -o sounds in both names.
Charlotte Katherine: Charlotte is one of my favorite names. It's very elegant and graceful, and doesn't ever sound out of place. Katherine is also beautiful, and both are very traditional, old-fashioned choices, though neither has ever gone out of style.
Emily Elizabeth: Possibly the most predictable combination out there, but I still think it's one of the prettiest. This is only if you really don't mind popularity, as both are top ten names, and Emily is the topper of the list. Yet despite that, it has the most elegant, beautiful feel to it. It's not original by any means, perhaps, but it's a graceful choice.
Good luck!

i have a 1 year old girl and we named her Jasmine Amara .........
i suggest that you wait a couple of days after the birth to see what name you think would suit your baby. see what she looks like.
good luck for the future.
