I have seen the movie Great Expectations and was thinking that a name to identify a child with a British family would be, Pip. I have also seen Little Lord Fauntleroy so Cedric is also a good British name. Alistair seems to be rather popular as well (remembering As Time Goes By with Dame Judi Dench).
