Salas is name for farm used only in northern part of Serbia, in province Vojvodina.
In other parts of Serbia or in other parts of ex Yugoslavia farms are called diferently, because salas is defined not only as farm, but with its geographical position and uniqueness of that area and character of people. You can say that salas is other name for Vojvodina.
