Is it frightening that the most popular baby name in the UK will be Muhammed next year??

Muhammad is the second most popular name for baby boys in Britain, new research has found.

According to The Times, the name is now second only to Jack and is likely to rise to number one by next year.

The newspaper says the name - if all 14 different spellings are included - was shared by 5,991 new-born boys during last year.

The name's increased popularity is thought to be partly because more young Muslims are having families.

The official register of names puts Mohammed at number 23, but an analysis of the top 3,000 names puts Muhammad in second place once the different spellings are taken into account.

Third on the list was Thomas, followed by Joshua and Oliver.

Is it frightening that the most popular baby name in the UK will be Muhammed next year??
Frightening.

Soon the name Muhammad would also be the most popular in Sweden....

There are 55 Muslim countries and 22 Arab countries in the world, and yet Muslims insist on invading and colonizing the West. I think they should all be deported back to their countries of origin; it is the only solution.
Reply:No, not really. I'm supposed to be horrified over baby names now?
Reply:wow - you've put some effort in this!!!!!!!!!!! I think Michael or Alexander would be nice instead!

If the queen gets a great great grand baby will it be called Mohammed???

that would be an even bigger question!

not relay scary to me though!
Reply:Do you even know what Mohammad means?! The meaning of the name itself without even relating it to Islam? It has been around more than Islam has...

It means praiseworthy...

And it is the parents job to choose a good name for their kids.

AND nope... its not frightening... just grow up.
Reply:In the middle ages every other boy was called John. Was that worrying?

These days many previously common names are becoming less popular and parents are ransacking obscure biblical names, old-fashioned names and names from other cultures, to give to their children. Parents are getting more imaginative and the variety of names is increasing.

Whereas, Muslim boys are often given the name Mohammed plus a name they are actually known by, so therefore the name Mohammed will tend to be more prevalant than other names.

I don't understand why you use the word 'frightening'. Good grief, you must frighten easily if babies' names statistics disturb you!
Reply:That is one of the scariest things I have heard in a long time. The UK is obviously being infiltrated.
Reply:So what? So there are a lot of Muslims in Britain. So???
Reply:I really don't care, the only thing is when it comes to calling your friend and two or more of them share the same name, other than that, let them be happy.
Reply:Why would it frighten anyone if someone names their baby Mohammed?
Reply:No, what is truly frightening is the ignorance and hatred that causes people to ask stupid questions instead of just letting other people live their own lives in peace.
Reply:none of this is frightening

You must be still asleep

Psalm 139:18

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep?

When will you wake up?

Proverbs 6:9

People get ready

There's a train a-coming

You don't need no baggage

You just get on board

All you need is faith

To hear the diesels humming

Don't need no ticket

You just thank the lord

People get ready

For the train to Jordan

Picking up passengers

From coast to coast

Faith is the key

Open the doors and board them

There's room for all

Among the loved the most

There ain't no room

For the hopeless sinner

Who would hurt all mankind just

To save his own

Have pity on those

Whose chances are thinner

Cause there's no hiding place

From the kingdoms throne

So people get ready

For the train a-comin

You don't need no baggage

You just get on board !

All you need is faith

To hear the diesels humming

Don't need no ticket

You just thank, you just thank the lord
Reply:no its not

im from London and im a muslim so its cool with me
Reply:While being an American, all I can say is that it definitely concerns me that the founder of the Muslim religion is the most popular name in a country that is very close to the United States. However, keep in mind that not all muslims are terrorists.
Reply:Yes, that's scary if you're a brit.
Reply:Even the lame name mohammad is still better than Zack, Jake, Cody, Dakota or Britney
Reply:I think its wonderful!
Reply:People are getting less and less original
Reply:mohammed (spell it however you want) is a lame name.
Reply:Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil! You cretinous Zionist Nazi pratt. You wouldn't find it amusing to see a question like "Isn't it frightening that Jews breed like rabbits?", so what makes you think a question like yours is acceptable?

Goodness me! No wonder you Israeli guys are hated so much.
